Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how PlusCare Health Inc., doing business as +Care ("+Care", "we", "us"), a Delaware corporation based in Connecticut, collects, uses and shares information when you visit pluscare.so and its subdomains, join the waitlist, become a member, take part in a +Care community, or message us, including on WhatsApp (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will change the date at the top when we do. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will make reasonable efforts to tell you, for example by email or by a message on WhatsApp.
Information you give us
- Waitlist details: your email address, and anything you tell us about what you are interested in.
- Membership details: your name, your phone number, which is how we reach you and add you to community groups on WhatsApp, and your payment details, which are collected and stored by our payment processor. We do not store card numbers.
- Messages: what you send us on WhatsApp or by email, and answers to polls or check-ins we run.
- What you post in a community: messages you choose to share in a +Care group.
Health information
+Care is a health membership, so some of what you tell us is about your health, including anything you choose to send us. We use it to answer you and to help you find and arrange care. We do not sell it, we do not share it with the host of a community you belong to, and we never post it in a group. Ask us to delete it and we will.
+Care is not a doctor's office, a lab, a pharmacy or an insurer, and the medical-privacy rules written for those do not apply to us.
Information we collect automatically
When you use the website we collect the usual technical information: pages viewed, the link you arrived from, your device and browser, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We use cookies and similar technologies, including analytics tools run by service providers, to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies in your browser, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires it.
WhatsApp and Meta
Parts of the Services run on WhatsApp, a service of Meta Platforms, Inc. When you join a group or message us there, WhatsApp processes your messages under its own terms and privacy policy. Two things to know:
- Your WhatsApp profile name and phone number are visible to the other members of any group you join. That is how WhatsApp works, not a choice we make.
- Messages you send to our business number may reach us through Meta's business messaging platform, which Meta can access as part of delivering them. Messages inside groups stay within WhatsApp.
Partners
Members receive offers from partner companies. When you use an offer, the partner handles your purchase under its own terms and privacy policy, and we may learn that the offer was used. If you sign up with a partner through a link we provide, the partner collects your information directly under its own policy.
How we use information
- To run your membership, add you to community groups, and remove you when it ends.
- To answer your messages. Our team may draft replies with help from AI models run by third-party providers, and a person reviews a draft before it is sent. We do not use what you tell us to train AI models, and we do not allow our providers to.
- To process payments and send service messages, on WhatsApp or by email.
- To measure and improve the Services.
- To comply with the law and keep members safe.
How we share information
- Hosts and members of your groups: they can see what any member of a WhatsApp group can see, including your profile name, your phone number, and whatever you post there. We do not give hosts your payment details, your messages to us, or anything you tell us privately.
- Service providers: companies that process payments, host the Services, deliver messages and email, measure usage, and run the AI models that help draft replies. They act under contract and only to provide the Services.
- Partners: as described above, only what is needed to honor an offer.
- Legal and safety: when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of members and others.
- Business transfers: if +Care is acquired or merges, your information may transfer with it, under this policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
Your choices
- Ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it by emailing privacy@pluscare.so.
- Leave a group at any time from WhatsApp, or ask us to remove you.
- Opt out of marketing email with the link in any message, and of WhatsApp messages by replying and asking us to stop.
- Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw any permission you have given us. Email privacy@pluscare.so and we will answer within 45 days. Residents of some states, including California, Connecticut, Nevada and Washington, have additional rights over health information, set out in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. We will never treat you differently for asking.
How long we keep information
For as long as you are a member and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that you can come back without starting over. Messages you send us are kept so we can help you over time and are deleted on request. We keep payment and tax records for as long as the law requires.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and anything inside WhatsApp is subject to WhatsApp's own security.
Children
The Services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
